Texas A&M Commerce Summit

Texas A&M Commerce at Dallas’ Department of Health and Human Performance will host the Elite Combined Event High-Performance Summit on Monday, July 11.

Coaches Harry Marra and Boo Schexnayder will be the keynote speakers for the event. Colllege Sports Solutions consultant Jill Montgomery will be master of ceremonies and on a panel discussion.

The Summit will be held following the Thorpe Cup track and field event between the United States and Germany, which is presented by USA Track and Field in Dallas from July 9-10.

Guests will be able to listen to the panel discussion, network with Thorpe Cup coaches and athletes and learn about applied biomedical and physiological research to improve their performance.

Glen Sefcik, assistant track and field coach at A&M-Commerce, said in a press release that the summit will help enhance the university’s track and field program.

“This event will provide valuable information that our coaches can implement in future training strategies,” Sefcik said. “It’s also an opportunity for high school and club coaches to network with collegiate coaches and recommend prospects for scholarship opportunities.”
Tickets for the summit are $60. More details and registration can be found here.
