World Refugee Day is June 20, so Refugee Services of Texas will be hosting celebrations in Dallas and Fort Worth on June 18.
World Refugee Day is an annual event that honors those who have fled their country due to persecution, war, and conflict by celebrating the beauty of the cultural traditions they bring with them.
To celebrate, the public is invited to enjoy food, exciting games, family portraits, henna tattoos, music and more from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Trinity Fellowship Church.
Refugee Services of Texas Dallas, which is located in Lake Highlands at 11880 Greenville Ave, is the longest running location in the state and has helped resettle thousands of refugees for over 40 years since 1978.
