Dallas College Candidate Forum.
The Faculty Association of Dallas College (formerly Dallas County Community College District) will host a candidate forum Wednesday in the Brazos Gallery of Crockett Hall on the Richland Campus. Lynn Davenport and Dr. Catalina Garcia, who both earned spots in the runoff, are expected to participate.
Garcia, a resident of Preston Hollow, received 36% of the vote in May’s 3-person race (5,942 votes) and Davenport, a resident of Lake Highlands, received 32% (5,307 votes). Dallas College has 7 board members elected from single member districts, and District 1 includes portions of Lake Highlands, Richardson, Lakewood, Preston Hollow and North Dallas.

The runoff election will be held June 18, with early voting from June 6 to 14. The forum begins at 7 p.m. June 1. The Brazos Gallery is on the west side (Abrams Road side) of Richland’s campus.
