Area employers say they will show up ready to make on-the-spot offers at Saturday’s Teen Job Fair sponsored by the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District (LHPID). Besides a handy paycheck, students who work are less likely to get into trouble over the summer and are more likely to earn the scholarship, internship or next job they are seeking. They also acquire job skills and work ethic, and they collect people who can vouch for their abilities and character.
Students don’t need to pre-register or pay to attend, but they should bring their resume and dress for success.
The Teen Job Fair runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 4 in the Lake Highlands High School gym.
