Edit: Operation BBQ Relief is not part of the the giveback and raffle special.
Sugarfire Smokehouse will launch a national giveback special and raffle for National Barbecue Month starting May 16 through May 31.
At 15 locations, including the one in Lake Highlands, Sugarfire will donate 100% of proceeds from the WRapper’s Delight menu item to Hogs for the Cause, which is a non-profit that raises money to fight pediatric brain cancer.
The WRapper’s Delight is packed with brisket, mac and cheese, barbecue sauce and cheddar cheese in a flour tortilla.
Fifteen percent of proceeds from daily special items, depending on location, will be donated to the nonprofit.
“This cause is incredibly important to our team,” says Chef and Owner Mike Johnson in a press release. “Barbecue has the power to bring communities together. I have seen it time and time again. We hope everyone comes out to celebrate with us!”
Sugarfire Smokehouse will also sell raffle tickets to raise money for Hogs for the Cause.
Prizes include a range of possibilities, like tickets to next year’s national barbecue festival “Memphis in May,” barbecue pit lessons with Pitmaster Dave Molina and an opportunity to create a daily special in June.
Raffle tickets are $10 each here. Winners will be announced the first week of June. Sugarfire Smokehouse is located at 6750 Abrams Road Ste. 110.
