This is the 13th year Richardson ISD has received an award from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for best music education in the country.

RISD has won the award 11 years consecutively, as of this year. The District’s Executive Director of Fine Arts Jeff Bradford said this is the 13th time overall that it has been recognized by the NAMM Foundation, according to RISD News Desk.

“Our teachers’ commitment to high standards and impactful music opportunities is what drives our district’s music education success,” Bradford said in his statement.

NAMM selected 738 school districts and 80 schools across 44 states for the award this year. The full list of recipients for Best Communities for Music Education can be seen here.
