Dallas Public Library will have an online haiku bookmark workshop this Friday from 3 p.m.- 4 p.m.
Surapsari “Sari”, a mindful arts teacher originally from Japan, will teach the concept and structure of a haiku. Sari will also show participants how to make a bookmark with their haikus with a matching image.
For those who don’t know, a haiku is a poem with three lines and 17 syllables.
This workshop requires some materials that participants will provide on their own, including scissors, card stock or a manilla folder, glue and a pen. A downloadable worksheet and pictures for bookmarks will be provided on the Dallas Public Library event page.
