A man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a man at Cindy’s Discount Liquor last month.

Dallas police arrested and jailed 23-year-old Demontaye Deshone Nixon on a murder charge last Saturday. Nixon and two accomplices were connected to the assault and shooting of 34-year-old Cedric White, Dallas Morning News reports.

Last month, on Jan. 28, police responded to a shooting call on 6536 Skillman St on that evening where White was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died in a local hospital from his injuries.

Nixon and his accomplices, Undray Devon Ross and Eric Charles Walker, assaulted and shot White, according to an arrest affidavit. There’s no word on whether Ross and Walker face arrest or any charges.

White was playing games on the machines inside the store when Walter approached him. Nixon and Ross pulled up to the store in a car and beat White after Walker ran from the store, according to an affidavit. Nixon also shot White during the fight.

Nixon remains in the Dallas County jail with bail set at $250,000.
