The girls’ squad posted an 11-0-1 record in UIL District 7-6A play en route to the team’s first district title since 2011. In early March, the Lady Wildcats clinched the district title with a game left in the regular season following a 4-0 rout of Richardson.

The team’s playoff run began with a commanding 4-0 first-round playoff win over South Grand Prairie before coming to an end last week in Highland Park with a 2-1 overtime loss to Coppell.

It may not be surprising to hear players are raking in post-season honors, with the team’s regular season record speaking for itself. Junior captain Dani Chaump, one of the region’s leading scorers  (finished the season as District 7-6A Golden Boot recipient with 18 district and 28 total goals), has been named District MVP. Sophomore Addyson Perez, who was called up to the U-17 Chile National Team earlier this year, was named District Newcomer of the Year.

In the middle of the pitch, senior captains Ashlyn Steele and Lila Bracken have been named UIL District 7-6A Offensive and Defensive Midfielder of the Year, respectively.

In addition, a total of 13 players from the squad have been named to all-district teams. They are:
