Texas Women’s Foundation names Michelynn Woodard as the organization’s new President and CEO. She will take the reins on Feb. 1.
After a national search, the foundation selected Woodard— former Head of Social Impact, Diversity and Inclusion for Bad Robot Productions, Inc.— for her record of equity, cultural diversity and social justice experience over.
Texas Women’s Foundation Chair Hilda Galvan addressed the selection in a news release.
“Miki’s leadership skills, respected national voice and powerful relationships in Texas and beyond – not to mention her lifelong passion for advancing cultural diversity and social justice – make her the ideal person to lead TXWF well into the future,” Galvan says.
Woodard will take the place of former President and CEO Roslyn Dawson Thompson. Thompson will retire at the end of this month after 10 years.
