Beth Wing, a former assistant principal at Lake Highlands High School, is the new principal of Dallas ISD’s W.T. White High School.
Wing is coming from George Bannerman Dealey Montessori and International Academy, where she was the principal for over three years. Before then, she was an assistant principal at Bryan Adams High School for two years.
Wing’s husband is a Richardson ISD educator, and their daughter attends a Dallas ISD school.
While at RISD, Wing also taught Spanish. She has also taught at Greenhill School.
Wing earned her bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University in Spanish and secondary education. She received her master’s at Southern Methodist University.
According to a post on the W.T. White High School Facebook page, Wing’s work is guided by what’s best for students.

- Improving access and success for students in college-level courses (dual credit, AP, On Ramps) through AVID supports
- Implementing effective collaboration in PLC based on data-driven instruction and curriculum alignment
- Supporting and celebrating bilingualism in school communities through programming, courses and systems
- Inviting community members and families to engage in ongoing communication and input into decision-making
- Developing systems to ensure distributed leadership and leveraging the knowledge and skills of all staff members to develop and implement effective campus systems
- Implementing design thinking for inclusive and creative problem-solving
- Leading all stakeholders in the development and pursuit of a shared campus vision, mission and goals
