Tony Goodman and John Boog-Scott have overseen development of app and console games that consistently top the charts on app stores.
During the pandemic, their Richardson-based company, PeopleFun, saw a big jump in downloads (up to 150 million) and employees at the company. But did you know the two met at Lake Highlands Junior High School?
PeopleFun is behind popular word game apps such as Wordscapes, Wordstacks and Word Chums. Overall, PeopleFun’s games have amassed 29 million monthly users in 236 countries with a 4.9 star rating for word games on Apple’s App Store.
Founder and CEO Goodman and COO Boog-Scott ventured into app development way back in 2011, but they’ve been in business 30 years.
Their other gaming companies include Robot Studios and now defunct Ensemble Studios and Notable titles, like Age of Empires, Age of Mythology and Halo Wars, are just a few games under those two brands.
