In a Facebook post, Brian Haines, Carter BloodCare blood drive coordinator, said the shortage is due to a reduction in blood drives across the region.

A Carter BloodCare mobile unit will be onsite at the Y on 8920 Stults Road on Wednesday, April 14 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interested donors must book an appointment in advance with a deadline of end-of-day Tuesday, April 13.

Donors will receive a gift from McDonalds and Dr Pepper and a COVID-19 antibody test, if interested.
