Plano-based retailer At Home plans to open a new store at Skillman and Northwest Highway, the Dallas Morning News reports. The discount home furnishings superstore intends to remodel the J.C. Penney location in Timber Creek Crossing, vacant since June.
At Home, which has 225 stores in 40 states, sells everything from outdoor furniture to bedding to kitchen utensils to rugs. Currently, they have stores at Midway and 635, Town East, Firewheel and Plano.
The building has 99,673 square feet – larger than the typical 85,000 square foot size. Construction is expected to begin in July and be completed by the end of 2021.
