After Ritas & Queso became a huge quarantine success, founders Julian Barsotti and Glen Collins have created a new Italian concept. The Grape Ape brings frosé and Italian cuisine to your door.

The Grape Ape opened last month in Highland Park Village and has become a hit for pick-up and delivery. Customers can order different kits, including the standard kit ($65), containing a half-gallon jug of frosé or a bottle of Chianti Classico Riserva. The standard kit also has a garlic bread, a timbale of Arbiquina extra virgin olive oil, and an antipasto consisting of house whipped ricotta, roasted sweet-Italian peppers, spicy olives, marinated artichokes, salami piccante and prosciutto Americano. 

The baked ziti kit ($105) includes everything the standard kit has to offer, as well as baked ziti all vodka with meatballs de famiglia, and their signature “greatest” caesar salad. The 200-layer lasagna kit ($120)  includes the full standard kit, the caesar salad and a 200-layer lasagna.

“A large part of the Italian culture centers around the kitchen and dining table,” said Barsotti in a statement, “it is the heart of the home. The Grape Ape brings the spirit of Italian dining directly to your kitchen.”

Kits are available for pick-up at 33a Highland Park Village in Dallas. Orders can also be placed online at grapeapedfw.com or over the phone at (469) 724-1787. Deliveries are made to Park Cities, Preston Hollow, North Dallas, Uptown, Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek, Lakewood, Bishop Arts and Kessler Park.

Online and phone ordering hours:

Monday – Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Delivery hours:

Monday – Saturday: 2 to 6 p.m.

Pick-up hours:

Monday – Saturday: Noon to 6 p.m.
