Jon Cryer and Molly Ringwald in ‘Pretty in Pink’

Before James Spader starred on TV’s “Blacklist,” he was the villain of “Pretty in Pink.” Before Jon Cryer was Alan Harper on “Two and a Half Men,” he was the lovable Duckie. Before Andrew McCarthy made “Weekend at Bernie’s,” he was the mixed up preppie. And before Annie Potts was a “Designing Women,” she owned the oddball thrift store.

You can catch John Hughes’ cult classic “Pretty in Pink” at the CarBaret Drive-In Movie Friday at Lakeridge Village. YAM (Yoga ART Music) Dallas will host the event in front of their studio, and John Kenny will perform live. Visitors may bring folding chairs or remain in their vehicles, where the sound will be broadcast over FM radio at 93.5 FM.

Online tickets are $25 per car, which goes to artists and production. Live music begins at 7:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:45. Music from the 80s will play before the live show begins, and food may be purchased from Lakeridge Village’s great restaurants, including Vector Brewing, SoCo Coffee House and Bistro, Taco Joint, RM 12:20 Bistro, Great American Cookie and Marble Slab.

Lakeridge Village is in the southeast corner of Audelia and Walnut Hill.
