Dallas County schools will delay in-person classes until after Labor Day

Public and private K-12 schools will start in-person classes after Sept. 7 due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases.

Classes will be conducted virtually before Sept. 8.

“This impacts all RISD athletics and fine arts camps, clinics, programs, workshops and any other in-person RISD activity involving students,” RISD shared. “The order is currently effective through Labor Day, and therefore all remaining in-person summer RISD extra-curricular activities are canceled. All RISD schools are located in Dallas County and are subject to the order.”
