After Lake Highlands High School’s 17-7 win at the Cotton Bowl Showcase Friday night against Plano East, Fox 4 Sports chose our game against Haltom for their You Click the Game contest this week.  We’re up against Keller Fossil Ridge vs. Hebron, Carter vs. W.T. White and Lancaster vs. South Grand Prairie, and we need more clicks than the other games to be featured.

Neighbor Matt Mosley, host of the Matt Mosley Show on ESPN radio and co-host of the Doomsday Podcast with Ed Werder, used the competition as an occasion to rib his buddy Mike Doocy, Fox 4’s longtime sports anchor.

“If you guys vote for @LHHS_FOOTBALL, I will bring @MikeDoocyFox4 to the game,” tweeted Mosley, no doubt wearing his signature dark sunglasses. “He rarely interacts with the general public, but he owes me.”

Winning the vote would mean Fox 4 teams (and cameras) would come to Lake Highlands on game day and capture the excitement leading up to the game, including cheerleaders, the drill team, the band and other highlights.

You may click here to vote online, and vote as many times as you wish until 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. Hopefully Haltom will be clicking, too. They lost in Week 1, but they beat Paschal last week 42-14.

Go Cats.
