Revamped Taco Diner prepares for opening

Taco Diner bar in January, 2018. The restaurant has been completely redesigned, with the bar being moved from the side to the back wall.

Taco Diner at the Lake Highlands Town Center hasn’t announced an official grand opening date yet, but we know the big day is closing in. Worker bees are buzzing inside late into the evening, and the new Town Center restaurant is hosting supporters of Pamper Lake Highlands at a red-carpet Preview Party Monday, May 14th.

Can a public grand opening be far behind?

Tickets to the 6-8 p.m. Pamper LH event are $60 and may be purchased here. You’ll enjoy small bites and cocktails, visit with chefs Adam Peterson, Chris Ward and Oscar Saravia and be first to tour the mid-century modern space. All ticket sales benefit Pamper Lake Highlands.

The M Crowd restaurant affiliated with Mi Cocina and The Mercury was expected to open in early 2018, but the almost-finished facility was taken down to bare bones and completely reimagined. The menu will be new, also, but will hopefully include favorites like their Green Chile Chicken Pozole (spicy poblano and tomatillo soup with chicken breast, jalapenos, hominy, cabbage, cilantro, lime and Mexican oregano) and Puerco al Pastor (pulled pork marinated in tres chiles with grilled fresh pineapple and red onions). Yum.
