The Dallas Arboretum knows you and you family don’t really want to be outdoors for extended periods this time of year unless you’re inside a cool body of water, which is why they offer Dollar Days all August, which makes the idea slightly more appealing. During no other month can you enjoy the arboretum’s fully bloomed beauty for such a bargain. Even sizzling temps don’t change the fact that it’s “one of the world’s most breathtaking gardens,” right? Visit for details. The park is located at 8525 Garland Rd. Parking is still $5, by the way.
