The Grove apartments on Easton near Garland Road had been there since the late 1960s before receiving an overhaul last year, when it was purchased by Keller Springs-based S2 Capital, which owns several Lake Highlands complexes including Lake Highlands Landing, The Azul, and Residence at Lake Highlands.
To go with its new look, the property received a new name, The Zeke, reportedly after the Dallas Cowboys’ new running back Ezekiel Elliot.
Elliot is under investigation right now, accused of abusing his girlfriend. He denies all charges; Cowboys tell reporters that they back their rookie.
Even if he does not face a suspension for the aforementioned charges, “Zeke” is temporarily out of training camp with an injured hamstring.
