According to police, on May 18, two victims pulled into their driveway in the 6100 block of Oakcrest in Far North Dallas.

“As they stepped from their vehicle a black male wearing a blue hoodie and dark colored pants ran up to them and demanded their money at gunpoint.”

The crime is similar one that happened in Lakewood the next day, based on a social media post by Lakewood resident Nancy Wilson.

Wilson shared her neighbor’s terrifying account of a May 19 holdup on the Lakewood Neighborhood Association Facebook page:

“My 14-year-old and myself were held up at gunpoint at 10:50 p.m. after we exited our vehicle. The criminal ran at me and had the gun about two feet from my head and was yelling for money. I told him I had none and threw my phone down hoping he would take that.”

Earlier that same night a similar crime took place along Blackwood, in the Lake Highlands vicinity, just after 10 p.m.

According to the police report a female victim pulled into her driveway and before she could exit a black male wearing a T-shirt and dark pants tapped on her window, demanding money at gunpoint.

“The victim’s husband observed the incident and intervened. The suspect held the husband at gunpoint while he reached into the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse.”

At each incident, the suspect retreated to a red, four-door sedan.

The suspect is a black male, between the ages of 18 and 23 years old, six feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

One of the victim’s credit cards was used at a gas station on May 19. In the photos an individual matching the description of the suspect is captured on video exiting the front passenger door of a red Toyota Camry. The driver of the vehicle was captured on video making a purchase inside the store.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the Dallas Police at 214.671.3995 or Crime Stoppers at 214.373.8477.
