Brooke Bateman
Not familiar with melanistic deer? Just ask Lake Highlands’ newest expert, Brooke Bateman. When she’s not practicing volleyball or working on a Student Council project at the Lake Highlands Freshman Center, she enjoys hunting with her father, Mike. That’s how she bagged a rare, uniquely-colored whitetail buck, one of just five taken annually by U.S. hunters.
