Prepare your heart. Dallas art curator Jose Vargas is once again bringing the annual El Corazón art exhibition to the Bath House Cultural Center at White Rock Lake this February.
If you’re a visual artist and you want to participate, you have until Jan. 5 to submit your heart-centric artwork.
Vargas has organized the El Corazón art exhibition in Dallas for 22 years to “give artists an opportunity to create various artistic interpretations of the human heart.”
Although all media, concepts and subject matter is accepted, the image of the heart must be a prominent element of the artwork. The work must have been completed in the last three years, and it cannot have been in previous El Corazón exhibitions. The exhibit includes work that uses electronic equipment such as DVD players, projectors, computers, but the artist must provide his or her own equipment.
