The Lake Highlands Women’s League will present their 37th annual Holiday in the Highlands Home Tour Friday, December 4. The event enables the League to give away thousands of dollars in college scholarships to LHHS seniors annually and to support schools and agencies throughout Lake Highlands.

Though all are beautiful, the homes have been carefully selected to be a mix of styles, sizes and geographic areas. This year’s four homes are that of:

Kelly and John Musgrave, 9509 Windy Hill,

Maurie and Mark Gray, 9617 Shadydale Lane,

Stephanie and Will Dusek, 9206 Westwind Court, and

Karen and John Owen, 8002 Hundley Court.

By request, LHWL members have brought back the popular Twilight Tour (6-9 p.m.) enabling working guests to view homes and enabling tour goers to see the homes twinkling with lights. Regular daytime hours are 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Also coming back is the Holiday Market, with juried vendors setting up booths at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ to sell their wares. You can be first to shop Thursday from 1-4 p.m. or shop during the tour Friday from 9-3.

The hottest ticket, hands down, will be for the luncheon, also held at Highland Oaks from 11-1:30. With League members planning recipes and preparing the meal (and their personality-plus husbands serving as waiters), it’s where all of LH will meet to eat on Friday.

Tour tickets are available in advance from your favorite LHWL member now, or you may email ticket chair Nancy Plotts at LHWLHomeTour@gmail.com $20. New this year (and beginning this Friday, Nov. 13), you may purchase online via Ticketleap ($22 with a service fee). Tickets are also sold at the door ($25). Luncheon tickets are all $15.

Oh, and even with all of these fundraising activities, most of the money raised comes from straight-up donations. If you’d like to contribute, you may do so here.
