Funeral services for Lake Highlands teen Zoe Hastings will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10701 E Lake Highlands, the same church she was headed to when she disappeared between 4:40 and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Her murdered body was found 11700 block of Dixfield Drive around 8 a.m. the next morning, by the family’s white 2007 Honda Odyssey she was last seen driving.Police say she died of “obvious homicidal violence.”
Police are trying to find anyone who might have seen Hastings or the minivan after she left her home around 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 11. Her family said she planned to stop at the Walgreens at Peavy and Garland to drop off a Redbox movie before continuing on to church. Police hope to confirm whether she did in fact stop at Walgreens, and anyone who was in the area or may have seen her is asked to call homicide detectives immediately at 214.671.3584.
