Police caught Arlington elementary school principal Oscar Figueroa, who once worked in the Richardson ISD. They say he is a child predator.
The 46-year-old remains jailed today on a $10,000 bond. Frisco police yesterday arrested Figueroa at Stonebriar Center mall where they say online conversations prove he planned to meet and engage in sex acts with a child. The “child” with whom Figueroa made arrangements actually was undercover detectives.
Investigators ask that anyone who has been a witness to crimes or victim of Figueroa come forward.
Several years before he started his current job as principal at Viridian Elementary School in North Arlington, Figueroa was a principal at Carolyn G. Bukhair Elementary School, which is in the Richardson ISD. Located near Texas Instruments, northwest of Central Expressway, Bukhair Elementary primarily serves families from the surrounding budget apartment communities. Figueroa has worked in area elementary schools for some 20 years, including posts in the Hurst and Little Elm school districts. He is on leave pending the investigation.
Any person with information about the accusations against Figueroa is asked to contact the Frisco Police Department at 972.292.6010. Anonymous tips may also be sent by text to the police department through tip411 by texting “FRISCOPD” and the tip to 847411 (tip411).
