The event is free, but in order to get in on the whole “brunch” thing, you must register this week, before the end of the day Friday (June 26).
The Dallas Police Department along with C.C. Young retirement community welcomes Doctor Laura Defina, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cooper Institute and Jill Turner, President of Cooper Healthy Living who lecture attendees about fitness and how it impacts health, longevity and quality of life. Defina has researched fitness as it relates to diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Turner is an expert on nutritional supplements. (Cooper offers a line of supplements, so bring your pocketbook).

Due to a high level of community interest, organizers have extended the registration deadline.
“All who RSVP will be provided refreshments before the start of the program and a light lunch at the conclusion of the program,” organizers note.
