Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a fast-growing cancer of the white blood cells.

ā€œThe Griffins were overwhelmed with the turnout,ā€ said Shauna Breeckner, one of the organizing teachers. ā€œWe had 42 blood donors, 11 platelet donors and 45 people sign up on the bone marrow registry. We saved lives today.ā€

If youā€™d like to give blood in support of Reece, Northwood Hills Elementary, 14532 Meandering Way, is hosting a blood drive Saturday, May 30th from 11-3. You may also donate to Carter Blood Care at one of their nearby donation centers listed here.
