The Lake Highlands Art and Play Festival is in Lake Highlands May 25 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and organizers say they still have a few spots open for qualified local artists.
Applicants should contact the director of the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District at 469. 371.7072 or email lakehighlandspid@att.net.
Participating artists will receive a free tent alongside other local artists and crafters at the festival, which starts with a fun run followed by a day of festivities, food trucks and live entertainment. All of the day’s events take place at Lake Highlands Town Center at Walnut Hill and Skillman and benefit Camp Sweeney for children with Type 1 diabetes.
