“We are looking for striking images of activities and events around White Rock Lake, wildlife, architecture/structures. These images may show portraits of wildlife in their natural habitat, plant life, natural landscapes, weather or people at the lake. Let your creativity shine. Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. Limit two photo entries per contestant … we also encourage copies of historical photos at White Rock Lake to be submitted.”

The contest is now open and the deadline is Oct. 1. Winners will be announced Nov. 1. Begin the application here.

Submissions also are accepted via mail under the following conditions:

Each photograph must bear the photographer’s name, address, phone number, email address (if applicable), category and entry number (1 or 2). Also, include this information on a separate, single sheet of paper with the division you are entering. All prints must be sent together as one package.

Include a separate, self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) of proper size with sufficient postage affixed, or entries will not be returned. Entries not retrieved will be destroyed after three months. The White Rock Lake Conservancy and sponsors are limited in liability to value of prizes. Disputes will be settled by binding arbitration.
