Sad beatings, slashed tires and weed rage occurred over the past week in Lake Highlands.

Thursday, April 10 —A 38-year-old man waiting at the Fair Oaks Crossing bus stop was approached by four suspects who pointed a gun at him, beat him and stole his cell phone, which reportedly was worth about $30.

Thursday, April 10 — A resident of the Highland House condominiums on Walnut Hill is suspected of slashing the tires of a car parked in her space; she left a note.

Thursday, April 10 — Witnesses called police when they observed a women trying to jump from a moving vehicle on Skillman, near Abrams. She escaped the car at a red light on Walnut Hill and ran into a 7-11 where she locked herself in the bathroom. The suspect reportedly pried open the door with a tire iron and struck the woman. He fled the location before police arrived. The victim told cops she knew the suspect and it is recorded as a case of domestic violence. Bleeding and vomiting, the victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital and police took the tire iron and photos at the scene as evidence in an investigation.

Monday, April 14 — Barbara Donica, 54, reported that a guest in her home became irate after he could not locate his marijuana, which he claimed to have hidden inside her apartment at an earlier time. He ransacked the premises, destroying a floor lamp and a Dell computer, while accusing his host of smoking his stash.

Tuesday, April 15 — An unnamed juvenile who was walking home from school reportedly was robbed of his cell phone by suspects traveling in a black vehicle. It happened near Skillman and Whitehurst. The victim was not physically harmed.

Tuesday, April 15 — Burglars reportedly broke into an apartment on Whitehurst Drive by breaking a window. They made off with a plasma TV, laptop and an XBOX.

Wednesday, April 16 — Someone reportedly broke into Nail and Spa salon on Audelia and stole a laptop, TV, DVD player and $70.
