Positively Fit Lake Highlands, located near Forest and Abrams, has announced that it’s collecting used athletic shoes to benefit World Wear Project. The Dallas-based company has collected over 2.5 tons of athletic shoes since it began operating.

Between now and Feb. 28, drop off used tennis shoes of all sizes to the bin at the Positively Fit storefront.

The donated shoes will be cleaned, repaired and shipped to people in other countries without access to adequate footwear.
