When the field at St. James Episcopal on Audelia and McCree turns orange, you know fall is upon us. Believe it or not , those pumpkins don’t unload and organize themselves.
Sunday, members of the congregation gathered to unload from a large trailer truck 2,000-plus pumpkins, plus an impressive pile of healthy looking gourds.
The patch has been a Lake Highlands tradition for 15 years. It will be open every day this month: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday – Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sundays. New this year, they will accept credit cards. Proceeds from pumpkin patch sales benefit the St. James Episcopal youth ministry.
