It was a perfect day to open an outdoor learning garden, or as Moss Haven Elementary is calling it, the “farm.” The old Moss Haven farmhouse backs up to the school property, and now the elementary students will use the land on which horses once roamed to plant and grow herbs, vegetables and flowers.
We’ll have more on this story soon, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity today to share this darling photo, taken by Can Turkyilmaz, that exemplifies the new garden’s spirit. The words in the book are too small to read (click on the photo for a better view), but they say, “We’re ready to work, and our tools are ready, too.”
And see those tree stump seats? Hand-hewn by a Moss Haven parent. Yeah. That’s Moss Haven for you.
