The City of Dallas wants to help you tame the Grease Monster at your house. Kitchen grease blocks sewer pipes, causing untreated wastewater to flow into storm drains, creeks and lakes. With the holidays approaching and Dallasites beginning their heavy cooking and baking seasons, the City wants to educate citizens about proper disposal of kitchen grease.
Tuesday, November 8th, you can attend Cease the Grease, a program at Dallas City Hall, and learn how kitchen oils can fuel Dallas County school buses. The program is from noon to 1pm and you can bring your grease with you. RSVP to Dayna Cowley here.
