The running of ‘The Half’ is this Sunday.
The 35th annual Dallas Running Club half marathon begins at Norbuck (Northwest Highway and Buckner) at 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.
About 4-5,000 runners usually participate in the event which is run mostly along White Rock Lake, but which will affect some streets in the Lakewood and Old Lake Highlands area.
Expect a lot of traffic at Flag Pole Hill; the exit ramps at Buckner and Mockingbird are usually closed off during the race hours (about 7-noon).

The event benefits the Tal Morrison scholarship fund and the Dallas Running Club, which gives to a variety of charities.
If you are running in the race, organizers ask that you arrive no later than 7:15 a.m. Live band and entertainment for kids at the park, if you wish to come out and cheer a runner.
