Neighborhood businessman Alan Walne was elected chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the executive committee of the State Fair of Texas. Walne is chairman of Herb’s Paint & Body and a former city councilman for District 10. His wife, Joan, is chairman of the Dallas Park Board.
This year’s State Fair of Texas is scheduled Sept. 30-Oct. 23; the year’s theme is “125 Years: A Timeless Tradition”.
