Lake Highlands High sophomore Michael Ketchmark, yep the starting quarterback for the football team, pitched a five-hit shutout against Sunset High Friday night as the Wildcats picked up another win, 10-0.
LHHS (12-12, 7-3) got a couple of big hits from Taylor Stell and Beau Barnes, but mostly just tagged Sunset for 11 hits.
If the Wildcats can keep up the pace in the final three games, they have a good opportunity to finish in the top two in District 9-5A.
LHHS has a tough schedule ahead though to finish the season as first place Jesuit is next up at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Lake Highlands.
The Wildcats finish the regular season up this week with road games against Skyline Thursday and fourth place Richardson Friday.
This should be an exciting week of high school baseball, get your fill!
