Some soccer parents are accusing the president of the successful and local Solar Soccer Club of stealing.
According to this report from Brett Shipp at WFAA, parents say David Ringer, an attorney who is well known in Lake Highlands, took as much as $800,000 from them over five years.
Ringer, a longtime Dallas attorney who lives and offices in LH, began volunteering with the club when his son joined a Solar team, and he stayed on long after his children graduated.
The club has about 300 members, many from Lake Highlands. Because an investigation is ongoing, Ringer can’t comment on the accusations right now. He did send a written statement to WFAA calling the accusations “defamatory, unfounded and unwarranted” and says they are in dispute.
