Lake Highlands High continued its journey through the District 9-5A schedule on April Fool’s Day with a definitive win against Skyline, 15-7 at home.
The Wildcats are 9-10 overall, and 4-2 in district play, having dropped games only to first place Jesuit (20-4, 10-0) and W.T. White (11-7, 4-2). Richardson is also in the mix at (6-10, 4-2) tying it up three ways for second place.
LHHS has a solid foot on the playoff push as Berkner, Skyline, Sunset and Samuell all have two wins or less in district play. The Wildcats can certainly gain a huge boost Tuesday night at 7 p.m. when they host Richardson.
A win would put the Wildcats ahead in the tie-breaker against Richardson.
