LHHS cruised to a 20-0 win against Samuell Friday, no joke on April Fool’s Day, with pitcher Erin Brennan tossing her sixth shutout of the season and a no-hitter to boot.
Brennan has a 1.22 ERA, lowest in the area, with 95 strikeouts in 69 innings pitched this season. She’s also batting .661 to lead the area in batting 22 RBI and 12 stolen bases.
Teammate Destiny Rojas is batting .512 and Ashley Hudson is at .489, giving the Lady Wildcats a lineup of destruction.
Lake Highlands High is burning through District 9-5A play with ease, posting a 16-0 mark overall and a 7-0 record in district.
The Lady Wildcats softball team is indeed the hottest ticket in town right now. The next show is scheduled for Wednesday April 6 at 4:30 p.m. at W.T. White High School.
