If this iciness keeps up, by Saturday, the cabin fever should be so progressed that you’ll want to burst out the door for a run around White Rock Lake, no? Head over to Winfrey Point for the annual Tal Morrison classic 5k and 15k. Tal Morrison himself attends the race each year — he is the founder of the White Rock Marathon and the Dallas Running Club. After the race, the club will present scholarships to high school runners. It’s always a great day, and the temps are supposed to be in the toasty 35-degree range. You can register today at Dallas Running Club online or race morning at 7 a.m.— it’s $10 or free for club members. Race starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb 5.
