Police arrested 58-year-old Charles Freeman, a homeless man who was staying at The Bridge shelter,  for using the credit/debit card that belonged to murder victim Aaron Cheung. Freeman has not yet been charged with murder at this point, but police say he has given them conflicting and misleading information about his whereabouts the morning of the murder. Freeman claims to have gotten the credit card from another homeless man. Freeman is a convicted felon with a history of robbery, theft and trespassing. The below mentioned surveillance video reportedly caught the attention of workers at The Bridge who contacted police about Freeman.

Dallas police have released surveillance video of a “person of interest” in the Aaron Cheung killing, which happened early Sunday near Skillman-Audelia.

Said POI used Cheung’s debit card at a 7-11. Video shows a 40 or 50-something-year-old black man, about 5’5, with a pronounced limp. At the time, he was wearing a black jacket over a white hoodie.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of Cheung’s killer: 214.373-.8477. Homicide unit numbers are: 214.671.3661 or 214.671.3618.
