Lake Highlands High and Richardson were all knotted up at halftime Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles, however, made enough stops in the third and fourth quarters to take home a 40-33 win at Lake Highlands.
Tierra Scott scored 14 of the Lady Wildcats 33 points, but a four-point third quarter put Lake Highlands deep in the barrel.
Lake Highlands lost the fourth quarter 12-11, but simply couldn’t recover for the win. It was the Lady Wildcats second consecutive home loss and second consecutive loss in District 9-5A.
Lake Highlands will get their next shot at a district win Monday at W.T. White.
