Taylor Stell led the Wildcats with 26 points to beat Mesquite High 62-61.
LHHS built had a 10-point lead after the first quarter at Mesquite High Tuesday night. At halftime, the Wildcats lead 36-28.
Mesquite came back with a solid defensive effort after halftime to hold LHHS to only eight points in the third quarter.
But led by Taylor Stell’s 26 points, Lake Highlands was able to hold on to and secure a sweet 62-61 point win.
The Wildcats will play at 3 p.m. Saturday at North Garland High.
