The LH baseball team beat Skyline, 6-1, on Friday despite missing four players who were on a choir trip to Florida.

The Wildcat offense was slow to wake, managing only one hit in the first three innings. After four innings of play, LH and Skyline were deadlocked at 1-1.

In the fifth inning, Blake Woodson knocked in Byron Burns and Michael Ketchmark with a one-out double. Two batters later, Judson Luther plated Woodson with a single and Ben Fields capped off the inning by bringing home David Bloodworth. Luther added another RBI single in the seventh.

Byron Burns pitched a complete game and struck out eight.

LH plays again Tuesday, April 13, at home against Sunset (JV at 4:30 p.m., varsity at 7 p.m.)
