Lake Highlands lost another close one to Mesquite, 50-46, on Tuesday in the Plano Wildcat Holiday Classic.
Mesquite put the defensive clamps on the the Wildcats – Demarcus Bernard was the leading LH scorer with 11 points and Trey Bingham had 9. Ricky Zorn, who had 28 in the tournament opener against Rowlett, was held to five points.
Next up for LH – if I can make any sense of the convoluted bracket – is the winner of Lewisville and Naaman Forest at 5 p.m. today at the Plano Senior High gym. Lewisville and Naaman tip off at 10:30 a.m. to play for the right to face LH.
