The Lake Highlands Freshman Center is having a first ever toy drive, and they’re inviting the community to join ninth graders in giving. Their goal is to collect 150 gifts for preschoolers who attend RISD’s Dobie Primary. New, unwrapped toys may be brought to the front office of LHFC, White Rock Trail north of the stadium.
If your kids, like mine, have long passed the preschool phase, you might enjoy another round of buying Legos, blocks, baby dolls, and etch-a-sketches. Educational toys are especially appreciated, along with memory games, wooden puzzles, and magnetic numbers & letters. They’ll happily receive your toys until December 11.
