So that we might avoid the horrendous West Nile Virus, The City of Dallas will spray for Mosquitoes tonight and tomorrow morning—10 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday— in the area in within the boundaries of Northwest Highway, Easton Road, Lanshire Drive, Shoreview Road, Audelia Road, Northwest Highway, Buckner Boulevard, Peavy Road, Northcliff Drive, and Lake Highlands Drive back to Northwest Highway.
And now for the warnings from the city, which you’ve undoubtedly heard a dozen or so times: The insecticide is considered safe, but avoid contact with the spray by staying indoors. If you’re in a car while trucks are spraying stay inside with the windows up and the air conditioner on until the trucks pass and the spray is no longer visible. Stay away from the spraying trucks. If you come in contact with the spray, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water. Protect your fish ponds and pets.
Thanks to reader M.G. Visser for giving us the heads up!
